The Cure for Street Style Overdose

Streetstyle can have secondary effects.
After fashion weeks, you are in danger of suffering a streetstyle pictures overdose.

Do the most outrageous and bold outfits leave you cold and unimpressed?
Do clash of patterns give you headache?
Do you feel numb and uninterested after flicking through all your favourite streetstyle blogs?

You definitely have the symptons then. Don't panic though, here's the cure.

A style so simple and natural, yet so carefully orchestrated it just makes you stop, take a breath and
wonder why you have never considered adding a masculine snake print coat to your wardrobe basics.

DIY: The Shred Sweater

Get some inspiration from this streetstyle picture from STREETFSN and give a new life to
that old sweatshirt forgotten transformating it into a cool top with the easiest DIY ever.

If you don't feel too confident about cutting clothes, you can turn the sweatshirt inside out and draw the
parallel lines with a ruler and a pencil so you know where to cut with the scissors. And then, rip it up!

Anna Dello Russo Vs. Mr T

The Vogue Japan editor-at-large never bores. With her fashion excesses she keeps
any outfit eventful and becomes one of the favourite targets of the street style photographers.

Her latest appearance on Jak & Jil ,all chained up, defies the very same
Mr T in regard to the amount of jewelry that is possible to wear at a time.

Under The Weather

I saw this picture on The Sartorialist a few weeks ago, and I thought it posed an interesting point.

Do you choose your clothes always according to the weather ?
Is it just illogical to wear a fur coat without tights ?
Or are we too influenced by rigid rules based on concepts that tie
down our intention to experiment with new mixes and sets ?

As for Scott Schuman himself, he speaks his mind in the post and says:
"Dressing for the weather is a very inaccurate science, and quoting tired concepts
or rules only shows a lack of understanding for the variety in our lives".

Models Off Duty, NYFW

While we're all checking all the shows from NYFW, processing all the information,
trying to pick the collections we liked the most, and also keeping an eye on LFW,
why not enjoy some of the models' looks after work?
Everybody knows we are all nosy people and love to see what they wear!

The Man Repeller

She's one of my favourite personal style bloggers so far. Not only she has a fresh and singular taste for clothes and outfits, but it's mainly for that funny and quirky thing she has.

"My little pony goes drag" shoes owned by The Man Repeller

A smile is always welcome, and not taking yourself extremely seriously as well, which in my opinion a mistake many egobloggers make. Leandra Medine doesn't have just a great and edgy fashion sense - and an impressive closet! - she has an even better sense of humour.
You can notice it all over her blog, tumblr or twitter.

outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex. Such garments include but are not limited to harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls (see: human repelling), shoulder pads, full length jumpsuits, jewelry that resembles violent weaponry and clogs.
–verb (used without object),-pell·ing, -pell·ed.
to commit the act of repelling men:
Girl 1: What are you wearing to the party?
Girl 2: My sweet lime green drop crotch utility pants!
Girl 1: Oh, so we're man repelling tonight?

Triptychs of Strangers

Triptychs of Strangers is a continuing photographic series by Adde Adesokan, where the goal is to “meet total strangers - get to know them - take three personality-matching body shots - make them one".

The Analog Lover

Thing that attired my attention the most about this project is, not only the great pictures he takes and the original triptych format, but the possibility of knowing more about the person who is portrayed.
Adde talks to all the people he stops, conversates with them.

The Hungry Typograph                    ///         The Sunday Faced Cupholder

So the result is not just a pretty picture of someone with great style, it's a portrait, an impression of the individual and the situation the pictures were taken in.
They make it easier to imagine them, their life or their personality, even their story.

In this post you can see some of my favourite ones.
Don't forget to visit the Flickr Site or the Official Website

The Grieving Sailor              ///                            The Player

Every triptych features a description "About the Shot" and another one "About The Stranger"
[If you click on each picture title you'll see the original picture and its description]

Brilliant, once more it's proven that mixing and being individual makes the best out of fashion.
Somebody else in love with the shoes btw?
